Did God speak to you through His Word... and this simple cartoon illustration?
The Umbrella Analogy can help a person begin to grasp the essential truths of the Christian faith.
Jesus said that we must come to the Father (God) with the faith of child.
Do you understand who Jesus is and what He did and why?

Good News
Worship Service Times

Sunday 10:30am   This is the largest of our weekly services which contains both traditional and contemporary elements... It's a blend that our people have grown to love!

  • Preschool  We have a great staff of volunteers and paid nursery workers who supervise our nursery which is available during all services. Parents are given silent pagers in case they need to be contacted. The nursery is for preschool children, birth thru kindergarten, and is located on the first floor of our Family Life Center.

  • Children, 1st - 4th Grade  During the school year we offer a high-energy worship service for children in grades 1-4.  This service is called ELEVATE.  These children meet upstairs in Kid Central.  Parents pick their children up in the Treetop Theater at the conclusion of our main service.
  • Students, 5th - 12th Grade  While some of our preteens and teenagers are helping out in ELEVATE, most of our students worship with the rest of the congregation in the auditorium.  We do, however, provide two unique worship experiences for students on Wednesday night.

Sunday 6:00pm   If you can not make a Sunday morning service or if Sunday morning left you wanting more, you should join us for the more intimate evening service. Most Sunday evenings Pastor Johnny walks us verse by verse through a book of the Bible.  During the school year our children, grades 6 and under, meet in Kid Central for RA's (Royal Ambassadors), GA's (Girls in Action) & Mission Friends. Our students (grades 7-12) usually gather for Coffee & Conversation during this time.  Check out the Event Tab below to find out where.

Wednesday 6:30pm for adults/ 6:30pm for kids   This midweek Bible Study begins with a call to prayer from our Pastor.  As he does on Sunday nights, our pastor will then teach through a book of the Bible, verse by verse!  For more information about services and activities for kids, see the menu to the right.

What Are the Worship Services Like?   The worship services at First Baptist Church are designed to help you discover God and bring you into His presence through a variety of music, biblical teaching, and prayer. Pastor Johnny keeps his message simple by focusing on how to apply biblical teachings to your everyday life. Every service is different, but we always seek to encourage and equip you to begin a lifestyle of worship.

People begin to fill our auditorium at 10:15am for our 10:30am Sunday morning service.  The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. (We think the theater seats may have something to do with this.)  Some wear coats and ties, others wear jeans.  While the songs we sing are a mixture of both old and new, the arrangements are mostly contemporary.  The words to the songs we sing and to the scriptures we use are displayed for all to see on one of our video screens.
