First Baptist Church Upward Sports offer the following programs for boys and girls, K-6th grade: 

Winter Basketball
Spring Soccer
Fall Flag Football & Cheerleading

 

 

 

First game: Saturday, September 11,2010

Awards Celebration: Thursday, November 4, 2010

 

Upward Sports is a national program that has grown from 7 locations in 1995 to over 2500 this year. No pre-established teams are allowed in these leagues designed for boys and girls  (K5 – 6th Grade). Players sign up as individuals and are placed on teams after going through a very simple skills evaluation. Every effort is made for equal competition through balanced teams. Every player plays equal time and will have the opportunity to start several games.
 
Upward is a unique league in many ways. All the coaches and referees are volunteers and work hard to make the upward experience a rewarding one. Not only do we want to coach kids on the fundamentals of a particular sport, we also spend time a few minutes at each practice to go over an elementary truth of the Bible. Ultimately, we hope each participant (and family member) will see and feel the love of God in very practical ways.
