The Little Kids Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church is committed to providing a safe, clean and fun learning environment where little ones and their families can feel God's unconditional love. Our job is to partner with parents to lay a foundation of faith for preschoolers. During Life Groups and morning worship service, our little friends will be learning through Bible stories, music, games and learning centers. With this foundation, preschoolers will be better equipped when they are older to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Welcome to the Little Kids Preschool Ministry.

Little Learners Preschool - This is an early education program designed to support the home and extend the ministry of First Mansfield by providing biblically based, age-appropriate learning opportunities for preschoolers. Little Learners meet through the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays & Monday, Wednesday and Friday or all 5 days pending state approval. Hours:  9:00am to 2:00pm.

Parent/Baby Dedication – Parents are invited to participate in a short ceremony to dedicate themselves to raising their child God’s way. This is not a baptism. As Baptist, we believe that baptism comes after a person accepts Christ as their personal Savior. The ceremony consist of scripture reading, prayer and a presentation of a certificate and Bible. We do dedications 4 times a year. Contact Marla for more information.

Mission Friends – This missions organization is for 4 year olds (as of Sept. 1) through kindergarten and meet on Sundays at 6:00 pm while parents are in Bible study. Mission Friends learn about mission work here in the United States and around the world. The purpose of Mission Friends is to help preschoolers move from self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God’s love and understand ways they can help others know Him.
 
Music In Motion – Preschoolers and their parent will have loads of fun moving to the music and singing a variety of Christian and secular songs. Classes are on Tuesdays at 10:00 am through the summer. It’s a greet way to meet other parents of preschoolers while the kids work on social skills and build confidence.  Music in Motion will resume next Summer, see you for our 4th year on June 22, 2010.
 
TeamKID –This high energy, fun class for 4 year olds (as of Sept. 1) and Kindergarten kids encourages them to get to know Jesus as their best friend. There are Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application and recreation included in this Wednesday night class at 6:30 pm. 
 
Preschool Praise – Sunday mornings at 10:30 the 4 year –Kindergarten kids get to sing praise songs, see a puppet show that reinforces the Bible story and pray together for their own style of worship. Afterward, they get to have snacks, play on the playground and review the Bible story with art, games or other fun activities.
 
VIPs- Volunteers In Preschool are very important to us. They tell the Bible story and do fun activities with the kids, birth through Kindergarten while their parents are in the morning worship service. VIPs serve once every other month. All church members who are parents of preschoolers are expected to serve unless they are in the choir. Contact Trisha Smith for more information and to be put on the schedule.
 
Vacation Bible School – Saddle up your horses and round up your cowpokes for this year's Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS on June 14 -18.  Kids must be going into Kindergarten next Fall (5 years by September 1, 2010) through completed 4th grade.
